Drug-induced sleep endoscopy is a technique for direct visualization of sites of airway obstruction during sleep. It is indicated in patients with obstructive sleep apnea or primary snoring, with failed treatment with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), or previous surgical failure of obstructive sleep apnea. This review article explains the technique, use of medications, and system classification of findings.
