testAbstract
A clinical case of a patient, a ceramic and earthenware operator for more than 10 years without occupational preventive measures, is presented with complicated silicosis with large silicotic nodules visualized in various
imaging tests. Our patient was diagnosed with tuberculosis infection with a positive sputum smear, this is why he receives prolonged antituberculosis treatment for up to 12 months.
For the diagnosis of this pathology, the history of occupational exposure to silica inhalation along with the clinical history, Imaging tests and lung biopsy helped us to rule out the presence of another disease.
