Attention in emergency services is crucial for public health, and it is vital to understand the characteristics of the patients who use these services in order to optimize resources and ensure efficient and effective care. A retrospective descriptive study was conducted in the emergency service of the International Clinic located in Lima,
during September - December 2022, and a random sample of 1,716 patients was studied. The majority of the patients attended were women, and the average age of the patients was 42.1 years. The top five reasons for consultation
were upper respiratory symptoms, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vertigo, and urinary symptoms. Additionally, an average stay time in the emergency service of 4.07 hours was recorded. Most patients were categorized as priority
III and IV, indicating that their conditions were not critical.
