Takayasu's arteritis (TA) is a rare inflammatory disease that affects large vessels, such as the aorta and its branches. Initial symptoms are varied and may include dizziness, fever, skin lesions, and myalgia. The diagnosis is made with
clinical criteria, imaging tests, laboratory, and histopathology. Pulmonary manifestations are very rare forms of presentation and include organizing pneumonia, pleural effusion, and pulmonary hypertension. We present the
case of a young asthmatic woman with a history of recurrent pneumonitis and progressive dyspnea, associated with inflammatory involvement of the great vessels due to Takayasu's arteritis.
