Experience of thrombolisis in the therapeutic time window in patients with acute ischemic cerebral accident in a clinic in Lima

Abstract

Experience of thrombolysis in the therapeutic time window in patients with acute ischemic stroke at Clínica Internacional, Lima is presented. An observational, descriptive, retrospective study was carried out for 5 years in 119 patients treated and
hospitalized by the emergency service, of which 43 were acute ischemic cerebral events and only one met the criteria for emergency thrombolysis, having a favorable evolution and minimal sequelae. It is concluded that there is a need for a standardized protocol for the management of acute ischemic stroke, as well as the need for dissemination and education to the population for early recognition .
