Evaluating meta-analysis and recent systematic reviews about the treatment of choice of the meniscal tear in osteoarthritis between arthroscopic partial meniscectomy versus physical therapy. We found that partial meniscectomy was significantly associated with the risk of worsening cartilage deterioration reason why the use of surgical treatment must be of restricted use. Most meta-analysis have shown that arthroscopic partial meniscectomy was no better than physical therapy from which it can be inferred that the therapy of choice are therapy exercises well implemented in a competent Rehabilitation Service.
